She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She also earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with an emphasis in History from the University of Mississippi. Carrie has extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide range of mental health concerns across the lifespan. She is passionate about helping patients feel better, function better, and regain a sense of control in their lives. She believes psychiatric care should be collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all and takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, experiences, goals, and individual response to treatment. Carrie strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing and where treatment decisions are made together. She particularly values developing long-term relationships with her patients and helping them navigate treatment as their needs change over time. Outside of her clinical work, Carrie can usually be found shuttling her two sons from one activity to the next and cheering them on from the sidelines. She also has a longstanding passion for animal rescue and continues to be actively involved in rescuing and fostering animals in need.
